Shaun Quimby, LCSW has worked in Intensive Residential Treatment and Psychiatric Settings for over 21 years. Beginning his career as a Direct Care staff for a small residential treatment program and later as a second-year graduate student, he discovered a passion for working in residential, and educational settings.
Shaun’s foundational mission is the prevention of future harmful and problematic sexual and violent behaviors. Shaun has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Maine at Farmington and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of New England. Shaun has had the opportunity to work, train, and be mentored by some of the foremost experts in the fields of Residential Treatment, Trauma, Violence, Problematic Sexual Behaviors, Risk and Threat Assessment, and Evidence Based Treatments.
Shaun has extensive training in Aggression Replacement Training, Problem Sexual Behavior Treatment, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma, Risk Needs Responsivity Model, Motivational Interviewing, Feedback Informed Treatment, Positive Psychology, Leadership, and Risk/Threat Assessment.
Shaun has presented at local and national conferences. He provides consultation and advisement on difficult cases for a number of agencies, schools, and stake holders.
Shaun enjoys collaborating with stake holders, with an eye toward successful outcomes for youth.
